The Department of Physics at Yale University (http://physics.yale.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of theoretical condensed matter physics, broadly defined. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree at time of hire and will join an active group of theorists in Physics and Applied Physics.
Yale provides a unique research environment owing to its excellent group of theorists and experimentalists engaged in condensed matter physics and related fields. The search is especially aimed at candidates whose research program centers on quantum condensed matter physics. The anticipated start date for this role is July 1, 2026.
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Lead an internationally recognized and forefront research program.
- Excel in teaching courses and mentoring students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Be active and engaged members of the Physics Department and of the University.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree at time of hire.
