Senior Scientific Researcher -Principal Scientific Researcher - Ophthalmology

Description
The OMNI Biomarker group within Development Sciences seeks a highly motivated Senior Scientific Researcher / Principal Scientific Researcher to assist in the development and implementation of biomarker assays for programs intended to treat patients with retinal diseases, including age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

Applicants should be able to work comfortably both independently as well as on interdisciplinary teams and should have a strong desire to pursue creative solutions to challenging problems.

Who You Are

• You have a BSc, BA, or MSc in a biological sciences-related field with relevant work experience in a biotech or an academic research environment 
• You are proficient in a broad variety of well-established technical skills, including immunoassays, biochemistry, and/or cell biology techniques
• You are able to learn new methodologies quickly and efficiently and to work in new disease areas
• You are able to design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments independently
• You enjoy working closely with bench scientists to collaboratively solve complex biological and technical problems
• You are able to analyze and interpret results including analysis of large datasets using MS Excel, GraphPad Prism, JMP, R and/or other statistical tools
• You can effectively communicate results both verbally and in writing
• You have excellent organizational and time management skills 
• You are passionate about drug development
