CSUF faculty are committed teacher/scholars who bring research and creative discovery to life for students in classrooms, labs, and studios often through individually mentored projects. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, seeking external funding, conducting research resulting in publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, directing faculty-student collaborative research, and advising undergraduate students. The successful candidates will contribute to the community at CSUF through teaching, research, professional activities, and service on departmental and university-wide committees.
CSUF is one of the largest universities in California, serving 40,000 students from southern California and especially Orange County. It is the largest of the 23 California State University campuses, the largest and most diverse university system in the country, and one of the most affordable. As an Asian American and Pacific Islander Serving Institution and the only Hispanic Serving Institution in Orange County, CSUF ranks fifth and ninth nationally in the number of baccalaureate degrees awarded to Hispanics and minority students, respectively.
