Company Overview
Since 1982, the Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute (SLMath, formerly MSRI) in Berkeley, California, USA, organizes and hosts semester-length collaborative research programs that become the leading edge in that field of study. Mathematicians worldwide come to the Institute to engage in the research of classical fundamental mathematics, modern applied mathematics, statistics, computer science and other mathematical sciences. SLMath also hosts short-term summer programs for researchers, and topical workshops open to the mathematical community throughout the year.
MSRI, now SLMath, has been supported from its origins by the National Science Foundation, joined by the National Security Agency, over 100 Academic Sponsor Institutions, a range of private foundations, and generous and farsighted individuals.
